About me

Welcome

People say you can be either aware or happy. I disagree with it definitely. The more we know ourselves the more healthy and content we can be.

I am curious about other people and passionate about my work. I feel happy when I am able to help someone. Every person I meet teaches me something.

My professional journey started at high school. I absorbed knowledge from any psychological book I could find. I didn’t understand everything back then but I felt driven to go down that road – maybe it was an inner voice or maybe I just wanted to know, how to live a better life.

I graduated from UJ in 2001 with a Masters degree in Psychology. I took a 4-years course in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy in the Cracow Psychodynamic Centre. Later on I studied at the Tavistock Clinic – an institute that is known for combining traditional psychoanalytic knowledge with a modern approach to psychotherapy.

As a part of my studies I went through therapy myself – I can say that I know it „from the inside”. As a result of this process I could look at myself from a different perspective and direct my life in a more intentional way.

I gathered my work experience in various therapeutic centres, clinics and hospitals – in Poland and in the UK, where I lived for five years. I worked in a multicultural environment there and got to know people from different backgrounds. I know dilemmas and struggles of a foreigner living in a different country. Having these experiences allows me to provide a culturally sensitive service with respect and understanding of my clients’ heritage.

I am a member of the Polish Association of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and the Polish Psychological Society. I attend conferences and supervise my work regularly. I abide by code of ethics for psychologists.

I’ve been artistic since I was a child –  I currently pursue these interests in photography. I love languages, English is my second language. I translated „Handbook for Dynamic Psychotherapy” by Otto Kernberg, Eve Calligor and John F. Clarkin. I like to be in motion – literally and metaphorically – I’m constantly looking for goals and learning new things.

I currently have a private practice in Cracow Podgórze. When I enter my office, I feel as if a different space was opening up to me, full of warmth and tranquillity. It makes it possible to really get to know another human being. I invite you into this space, so you can find peace and look at yourself honestly without judging. I will try to show you a possible world – different than before.
